I'm a former pupil of Slough and Eton, the school Natalie (or Miss Street as I knew her) worked at for a few years until 2017. I absent-mindedly decided to try googling my old teachers one night as you do, and was incredibly saddened to find this.
Although Miss Street taught maths at my school as she later did at Jubilee High School, I knew her because she was attached to my form group (Blue House) along with our form tutor Mrs Kaye-Taylor. She was also a maths teacher, and I presume from her age at the time Miss Street was being mentored by her as a new teacher. She was a real favourite with us in the form group as well as her maths pupils, someone who was always positive and cared so much. We were all sad when she left the school. I remember her returning after she left to see us all given our Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Awards one evening. Without ever teaching one of my lessons she made a lasting impression upon me.
Since then I've graduated from university and will be starting my new grad role at TfL in a few weeks time. Once I've started, I'll be sure to come back and make a donation for you Miss Street. Thank you for everything.
